Federico Tabja

Mr. Tabja graduated Cum Laude from Los Andes University in Chile and LL.M. ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. After working for five years in Recamic SA, where he managed to obtain the first Michelin License for a Chilean company in 2003, Mr. Tabja practiced law in Elec Chile in 2006 and Bank of Chile in 2007.

Later, in Miami and Shanghai, Federico served as a lawyer at Diaz Reus & Targ LLP in the area of mergers and acquisitions, international commodity sales, compliance, project finance, energy, mining, international litigation, corporate structuring in China and Latin America, in addition to working as a certified specialist in the prevention of asset laundering (ACAMS) in both regions. In the mentioned two fields Federico represented more than 200 clients, including companies listed in the Fortune 500.

While in China, Mr. Tabja has been a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile. Because of that and of the monitoring and tracking of Chilean investments in the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Tabja studied the protection of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in China and made an investment guide, in Spanish, which includes tax regulations, labor law, investment vehicles, corporate strategies, state incentives, etc. This guide is now used by hundreds of Chilean and Latin American companies operating in China.

From August 2011 until May 2013 Federico served as Trade Commissioner / Commercial Consul for the Republic of Chile in Shanghai.

In May 2013, Mr. Tabja was appointed Vice President in Latin America at Sky Solar´s Holding and later on in february 2014 was honoured to become President for ESADE Alumni Chapter, in Chile.
