Francisco Álvarez-Demalde

Francisco Alvarez-Demalde is a founder and general partner of Riverwood Capital Partners, and heads Riverwood’s New York office and its Latin America efforts. Riverwood manages +$2 billion, and makes private equity investments in high-growth businesses, primarily in the global technology, technology-enabled and related growth industries.

Prior to establishing Riverwood, Mr. Alvarez-Demalde was an investment executive at KKR and Eton Park Capital Management, where he focused on leveraged buyouts in the Technology Industry and other sectors in both North America and emerging markets, including a variety of private equity investments in Latin America. Previously, he was an investment banker with Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Alvarez-Demalde has invested and been actively involved in the development and growth of several successful businesses across Latin America, North America, and other regions.

Mr. Alvarez-Demalde earned a Licentiate (Honors) in Economics from San Andres University, Argentina (including an exchange program at the Wharton School). He is director of Globant (NYSE: GLOB), GoIntegro , LAVCA, Navent, Netshoes, and VTEX, and a board advisor and former director of several other companies, including Alog Data Centers do Brasil, CloudBlue, Conductor, CloudBlue, Mandic, MotionPoint, Pixeon, among others. He is also active in non-profit initiatives related to education.
