Francisco Moisés is the Education Industry General Manager for Microsoft Corporation in The Americas, that supports an organization dedicated to empowering people to realize their social and economic potential by enabling access to quality education experiences for all through technology. With a professional background in IT Systems Engineering he joined Microsoft in 1995 for the opening of the Uruguay subsidiary. Since then he has held various technical, sales & marketing and executive positions.
With a personal mission of inspiring people and organizations to contribute, Francisco has lead many initiatives that helped governments expand digital inclusion, transform Education and create increased job opportunities in their countries:
- Microsoft Partners in Learning has invested 50M US dollars in the past 8 years to provide more than 2.5 million teachers and 40 million students with ICT curriculum training, innovative teaching models and online communities in The Americas.
- Shape the Future contributed with increased opportunities to more than 8 million students and teachers in the past 5 years, empowering government leaders to provide learning devices, infrastructure, content and cloud services that help improve Education in their countries.
- This year the company will be investing in enabling educational online collaboration and communication for more than 10 million active students and teachers in The Americas, with innovations that help develop 21st century skills and job opportunities.
