Philip Bane

Philip Bane has an extensive background in publishing, operations and sales. For the last ten years, He has actively pursued developing data solutions for sustainability. He developed the Council’s international expansion strategy, City Engagement, Readiness Program and Compassionate Cities Program.

Prior to the Council he was VP of Sales and Development for TopQuadrant, a leading provider of semantic technology. Trained as a tax and business lawyer, Philip has completed close to a billion dollars in deals, owned businesses in Russia and India and took First Virtual, public in 1996 as its General Counsel (later purchased by Softbank.) Philip has studied yoga (achieving 200 Yoga Instructor Certification), is studying to be a Zen Buddhist Chaplain and earned the Ranger Tab while serving in the US Army.
